How to Make Counterfeit Money
Former fraudster Frank Abagnale.. how do you spell this guys…pronounce
this guys name? You think Abagnale? Abagnale.
He is the Catch me if you can guy.
Says the information age makes crime 4000 times easier, when he was a criminal, then when he was a criminal. This is the catch me if you can guy. He says technology breeds crime – always has and always will. He told computer world that until society teaches ethics crime is going to get easier, faster, more global. What does everybody think about this? Because you know the funny thing is they don’t ethics anymore in school. When I was a kid, in the olden days, we used to have you know classes on health, ethics, check book balancing, you know practical things. Ethics, we had a, lot of civics, we had civics. Nobody knows what that is anymore.
How to make counterfeit money and get away with it.
Yeah they don’t have stuff like that. This guy is though referring
to really to how fast technology is growing for example his big deal was
he was a counterfeiter. So he used to have these printing presses, where
he climb up on a scaffold to operate various parts of them and do all
this colour layering to get his counterfeiting perfect. He says now, I
can just sit on a high end work station, make a perfect counterfeit bill
with just you know off the shelf software. You know the best part is that
interview he describes exactly how to do it too.
Oh yeah…
Describes how you.. you know if you are gonna do a fake check for American
Airlines, he’d get the logo, and put it on, make it nice. He can
find out what their bank is really easily.

Brushing up for people out there who think this stuff is like even
doable. You should know a couple of things. First of all, there’s
not a printer made today that’s a colour printer, that has a colour
balance, generally they don’t, they have colour balances that
are slightly skewed to prevent counterfeiting and to every printer you
own, weather you know it or not prints a microscopic series of yellow
dotes on every sheet of paper that is printed, that can be decoded and
you can find exactly what printer it was that made that print and that’s
why almost anyone who tries to use a printer, colour printer or colour
copier to make counterfeit money, gets busted within no time cause it’s
a no brainer to catch you. So I don’t know why that information
is not more widely available but I think they do some of these stories,
just to see who can fall off the cliff because in this day an age we
are more into entrapment than actually keeping people from getting into
trouble. Is that enough? Is that good enough?
